A few weeks ago Allan reached out through my website about doing a Winnipeg photoshoot with his girlfriend. He and Paige (who’s now his fiance š„¹) were dating long-distance and he wanted to propose. She was planning on coming to Manitoba for a visit all the way from Colorado.
Talk about a topographical change. When you come to Manitoba, you come for the people not the views, amiright?! š
We went ahead and planned their session, keeping the date and location a secret from Paige. Fast forward to the morning of the session, Allan was creative in finding ways to get Paige to dress up for a photoshoot without knowing what it was for. Together they explored The Leaf, in Assiniboine Park, Winnipeg where Allan proposed.
Of course, Manitoba being Manitoba, there weren’t too many great outdoor location options for a Winnipeg photoshoot in April, so the Leaf was the perfect place. About 15 minutes later I showed up and got to be the first to congratulate them!
The day of the session was cloudy making the lighting in the Leaf perfect for a morning photoshoot. I had so much fun hearing a bit of Allan & Paige’s love story. Gotta love a good love story and when the couple is long-distance it hits my heart just a little harder. Always reminding me of my long-distance dating with my now husband.
Photo Reveal
A few days after their photoshoot, we met over a video call for their reveal session. Here they got to enjoy a slideshow with all their images and pick out their favourites for an album. Their album is currently being handmade right here in Canada and I COULD NOT be more excited to get it into their hands!
