When Danica first reached out about shooting together, it was for their wedding that would be happening in September of 2024. (View their wedding blog HERE)
So naturally we also planned to do their engagement session together as well. The vision Danica shared with me was, editorial couple photos. I’ll let you decide if we delivered. ;)

The Manitoba Legislative building in Winnipeg was the perfect venue for these photos! Something to note is that there are no windows in the main room of the building. We brought in a few flashes so we would have enough light. This only added to the editorial feel they were hoping for!

We did a lot of experimenting with lighting throughout this whole shoot and it was so fun!

“Anna and Ken were the best vendor we hired for our wedding! Upon consultation, she sent me a video message introducing herself. That video was short but very impactful for me. That was one of the reasons why she stood out from the other photographers I contacted. It felt like she actually cared.

On our wedding day, Anna and Ken went above and beyond! They were very friendly and professional. It didn’t feel like a vendor-client dynamic, but more like a friend-friend dynamic, which put me and my husband at ease all day. She checked in on me from time to time during our wedding, which I appreciated. She also made sure that my photo inspirations were done throughout the day.

Anna sent the photos back to us super fast (which is unheard of, most especially in wedding industry). She only takes few weddings a year and makes sure that she doesn’t overload her schedule. That being said, we felt like a VIP, because of her attention to detail and genuine care to her clients. She captured our wedding really well. Whenever I go through our wedding photos, all of the wedding butterflies keep coming back! She brought my vision to life, and even better than I could have dreamed!!!
