When Vanessa first reached out about booking her Manitoba family photos, I was over the moon excited and not gonna lie… kinda nervous.

Here’s why.

Before I became a photographer or even got my first professional camera, I followed Vanessa on instagram and looked up to her work – which is beautiful by the way. Then, I believe it was in Fall of 2021, I went through her Business Blueprint program as a beta student and learned from her about photography and running a business. Later that same year I participated in one of her styled shoots and met several other lovely photographers. Then came the summer of 2022 when Ken and I hired Vanessa to take our photos.

She has sure had an impact on my work and business.

So of course, when I started planning these flower garden mini sessions for August and Vanessa booked a session, I was so excited to shoot for her and her adorable family. Not to mention how excited I was to meet her sweet little Isla.

What a beautiful little angel.
